Back on track...
Today is my cheat day. I allow myself one cheat day a week because I would go insane if I didn't. I had an awesome week, even at the barbeque I attended (I only ate 2 ribs and an apple). My cousin is getting married Halloween weekend and since my mother won't let me wear a costume to his wedding, I have an old prom dress that I was thinking about getting tailored to be tea length and to wear that. The only problem is that it is about 3 sized too small right now. Will I be able to lose enough weight in time? We shall see!! This is the first of hopefully many exciting goals that I will be reaching over the next year!!

Off the wagon...
I fell off the wagon big time...I'm not even ashamed because I know that the only thing I can do now is just hop back on. I went grocery shopping today and I got only healthy food...I have been doing this for quite some time now and I think I can safely say that our house has not junk food in it whatsoever. Well, Casey did buy some soda the other day, but as I don't drink soda, I am fine with that. There are no chips, no chocolate (besides fat free pudding). I feel pretty good about this. hopefully this next week will be better...that's all I can hope for!

The first days are the hardest days...
Truly, to quote The Greatful Dead, the first days of a diet are always the hardest. You are hungry all the time and can't stand it. You would do anything for a single french fry, and everytime you think about eating an apple you want to scream. But, slowly, you learn to accept that you can only eat a cup full of spagetti or a single cookie and soon after you realize that you get full from the smaller portions. I am by no means to this point yet.
Today I wanted to eat my face off. i started out alright. I had a banana and a nutri-grain bar for breakfast and was satisfied. For lunch I ate an apple, a fat free pudding and a Smartone frozen dinner. After work I had a 100 calorie pack as a snack. Since it has been super hot out, I made sure to drink plenty of water. Then, I got home from work. I was planning on eating some grapes and a personal pizza. (Which I did). And then I ate another personal pan pizza and part of my fiance's Chipotle. Now I feel fat and nasty and kind of want some more Chipotle. Maybe tomorrow will be a better day.

The start of a beautiful friendship...
I am starting this blog so that I can chronicle my adventures over the next year as I lose weight, plan my wedding and enter my very first 5k. i have tried dieting and working out and all the fads before, but this time I am going to try not only for myself but to inspire others that have tried everything to keep trying. I have always had a love for food, and I'm sure I always will. But, I am learning that vegetables can be good and that pizza, even if it represents all of the major food groups isn't a diet plan. Although it should be).
I just got done preparing my breakfast and lunch for tomorrow. I usually do this every night before I go to bed because I work super early and I'm super lazy. I have a small notepad that I write everything I eat in it, but for the past 3 or 4 days I haven't written a thing. Weekends suck. I am home and want to eat everything. i am pretty sure I ate about 4,500 pounds of hotdogs this weekend alone. When I am at work I don't have the luxury of eating whenever I want, so I have a little more control. One thing that has been helping though has been these drink mix-ins from Slim-Quick. They really help to curb my appetite because they make me feel like I'm about to throw up everytime I eat too much. They also make me feel full until about 4pm which is great because I am usually awake at 6am.
It's after 10, so I need to go to bed, but I will try to post every day and with luck this will motivate me to lose more weight! More to come!!!
